This is the most common functional domain of architecture, and in our work, a building has two parts: the envelope and the interior. The type of envelope is usually a function of environment, site specifics and cost; the interior, on the other hand, provides opportunity for creative solutions to special requirements. At the Building Scale, we have worked with private schools, businesses, neighborhood groups, social housing programs and residential clients on envelopes and interiors.
